The Front Office Manager oversees daily front office operations, including the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone areas. This position leads and supports the front office team while ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and adherence to hotel policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, schedule, and support front office staff. Oversee daily front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone operations. Monitor room status, occupancy, rates, and revenue opportunities to maximize hotel performance. Resolve guest concerns and ensure a high level of customer service. Monitor VIPs, special requests, group information, and guest communications. Oversee cashiering, deposits, credit policies, and other front office financial procedures. Prepare and review daily reports, forecasts, schedules, and departmental performance reports. Maintain accurate front office records, logs, files, and required documentation. Communicate effectively with all hotel departments and ensure smooth shift transitions. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, safety standards, and cash-handling guidelines. Monitor front office supplies and departmental expenses while working within the approved budget. Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations. Operate and oversee the front office computer system and related reporting functions. Promote a professional, welcoming, and service-focused environment for guests and employees. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Expectations Minimum of one year of hotel front desk supervisory experience. Previous experience in hotel front office operations required. Experience with cash handling, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment. Proficiency with hotel front office systems and computer applications preferred. Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Two-year college degree preferred. Professional appearance and commitment to providing exceptional guest service. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
