What You'll Do:

Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the hotel's physical structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, pool, whirlpool, and related equipment Assign, supervise, and verify completion of maintenance, repair, and renovation projects across guest areas, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and grounds Hire, train, and manage department staff, including coaching and performance management Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies, budgets, and contractor schedules Maintain preventive maintenance and energy management programs, providing training to other departments on safe and efficient equipment use Keep accurate reports, correspondence, and documentation for all departmental activities Maintain inventory, tools, and equipment in an organized and accessible manner Be immediately available for emergencies, including power failures, floods, fires, or other critical situations Coordinate special projects, guest requests, and event-related modifications as needed Who You Are Experienced, resourceful, and hands-on leader with knowledge of building systems, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC operations Reliable, professional, and flexible to work varying schedules and holidays Physically capable of standing/walking for long periods, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working in confined or awkward spaces Safety-minded and committed to maintaining compliance with all hotel rules and regulations Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and extreme temperatures
