As a Maintenance manager, you will be directly supporting the maintenance department in its daily operations. This can include delegating activities to ensure everything gets done in a timely manner, creating performance reviews for staff, training new employees on safety procedures and standards, and regular inspections of all equipment. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment, experience managing a team, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Delegate the day-to-day tasks of the management staff to meet current needs and prevent maintenance issues Train all new staff to ensure compliance and proper working knowledge of the position, and coach current employees to ensure standards are met Inspect all equipment on a regular basis Maintain proper documentation of maintenance and changes as needed Foster a safe, positive working environment Qualifications Previous experience in a management role, ideally in a manufacturing environment, desired Strong communication skills Excellent attention to detail The ability to perform maintenance operations Familiarity with computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
