Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences. Drive Business Results. We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager who is passionate about hospitality, leadership, and operational excellence. The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel by creating an exceptional guest experience, developing high-performing teams, driving revenue, controlling expenses, and maintaining outstanding property standards. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, building community relationships, and leading by example. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience Deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure all guest rooms are Guest Ready and exceed cleanliness and brand standards. Conduct daily room inspections and property walks. Monitor online reviews and social media, responding appropriately and implementing improvements. Operations Oversee all daily hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Safety. Maintain outstanding curb appeal, public areas, and guest rooms. Ensure compliance with all company policies, brand standards, and safety programs. Manage Out-of-Service rooms and prioritize repairs to maximize room availability. Maintain appropriate inventory levels while controlling purchasing costs. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop hotel associates. Create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture. Lead daily team meetings and communicate operational priorities. Coach and mentor associates through regular feedback and performance management. Ensure completion of all required company training programs. Financial Performance Drive occupancy, revenue, and profitability. Control labor expenses through effective scheduling and payroll management. Monitor productivity and staffing levels. Manage cash handling, bank deposits, accounts receivable, and corporate lodging procedures. Ensure purchasing remains within budget using approved vendors. Sales & Business Development Generate new business through local networking and market awareness. Encourage lead generation from in-house guests and corporate accounts. Conduct competitive market surveys and identify opportunities to increase occupancy. Build strong relationships within the local community. QualificationsRequired Minimum 3 years of hotel management or hospitality leadership experience Proven experience leading and developing teams Strong customer service and guest recovery skills Experience managing budgets, labor, and operational performance Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Extended stay hotel experience Skills & Competencies Successful candidates demonstrate: Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Financial and business acumen Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities High level of accountability and professionalism Positive attitude with a hands-on leadership style Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team Physical Requirements The General Manager regularly: Walks the property throughout the day Stands for extended periods Occasionally lifts or moves up to 25 pounds Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Travels locally to support business operations when needed Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
