Front Office Supervisor:
Position Summary:
To assist in directing the overall operation of the front desk.
Essential Functions:
  • Acts as host / hostess by welcoming guests, solving problems, and ensuring guests have a great stay.
  • Performs human resource functions for staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating.
  • Reviews all schedules, purchase requests, and purchase orders for the area of responsibility following budget and staff requirements.
  • Reviews payroll expenditures to be budgeted and approved based on guidelines.
  • Implements policies and procedures consistent with company policies. Ensures the welfare and comfort of our guests.
  • Generates reports and forecasts for Front Desk, Engineering, and Housekeeping.
  • Develops and maintains operating / training manuals for the Front Desk, Telephone Operators, Guest Services, and Meeting Room.
  • Assists reservations, front desk, and guest services managers / supervisors as needed.
  • Maintains the integrity of the front office records in the property management system and call accounting systems.
  • Acts as a liaison with Group Planners, the Meeting Room, and Housekeeping.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge:
Requires advanced knowledge of specialized or technical field or a thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of a professional field. May require knowledge of policies and procedures, and the ability to determine a course of action based on these guidelines.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:
This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of three years job-related experience.
  • Must have reliable transportation. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience at a hotel front desk is a plus.
  • Experience in Hilton OnQ or PEP System is preferred.
