Red Dog Pet Resort & Spa is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our resort. This role supports our team, ensures the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, and provides an exceptional experience for both guests and their owners. What You'll Do Support the Resort Operations Manager with day-to-day operations across all departments Create, manage, and adjust staff schedules to ensure proper coverage Provide training, mentoring, and coaching for supervisors and team members Step in to assist on the floor or at the front desk as needed Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and pet care Assist with customer relations, including handling complaints and conducting tours Monitor payroll, scheduling, and supply needs within budget guidelines Participate in staff hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and performance management What We're Looking For Passion for working with dogs and cats in a caring, professional manner 3+ years of supervisory or operational experience; animal care experience preferred Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Flexible schedule — must be available for weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergencies Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
