Job Description
Hotel General Manager Comfort Suites Youngstown North - Youngstown, Ohio Full-Time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and results-driven General Manager to lead the daily operations of Comfort Suites Youngstown North. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining high standards, developing a strong team, improving guest satisfaction, and driving the hotel's financial performance. Responsibilities Oversee all daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance, and sales Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and manage hotel employees Maintain excellent guest service and respond promptly to guest concerns Ensure compliance with Choice Hotels brand standards and company policies Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labor costs, payroll, and operating expenses Develop strategies to increase revenue and control expenses Review guest feedback and implement plans to improve hotel scores Complete regular property walks and guestroom inspections Ensure the property is clean, organized, safe, and well maintained Manage inventory, purchasing, accounts receivable, and vendor relationships Work closely with the sales team to develop corporate, group, and local business Prepare schedules, financial reports, and weekly operational updates Maintain proper employee documentation and follow all employment regulations Be available during emergencies and high-occupancy periods as needed Qualifications Previous hotel management experience is required General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience is strongly preferred Experience with Choice Hotels is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, revenue management, and guest service Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities Comfortable holding employees accountable and addressing performance concerns Proficient with hotel property-management systems, Microsoft Office, and email Must be dependable, professional, and willing to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays Benefits Paid time off Medical benefits 401(k) retirement plan Opportunities for professional growth To apply, please submit your résumé and a brief summary of your hotel management experience.
