Job Description
Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is hiring a seasoned, hands-on General Manager for an 88-room hotel located in Lehighton, PA. The General Manager will provide day-to-day leadership and direction by maximizing financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community. Functional Competencies Prepare the hotel for opening according to Hilton standards Manage the overall operations of the hotel to maximize profitability and to ensure superior service and product quality is established and maintained Oversee the guest service functions of the hotel to ensure corrective action is taken to resolve guest complaints and ensure superior guest service is delivered Maximize room revenues by anticipating and planning for market shifts; develop and monitor strategic marketing prospects; develops, implements, and monitors annual business and marketing plans Oversee sales and Develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the local community Oversee the security function to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees and hotel assets Develop and implement a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage/ benefit administration and compliance with policies and procedures that adhere to all labor regulations Ensure that product quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness; establishes and maintains preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel Develop and monitor the performance of financial and operational plans for the hotel which support the overall objectives of the corporation; develops the annual budget and makes recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyalty Hire, train and provide career development for subordinates; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to subordinates Perform other duties as assigned by corporate management Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration or Business Administration preferred A minimum if three years prior hotel management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience HILTON experience is preferred Ability to read, write and speak English with excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service results as measured through guest satisfaction scores Desire to operate a best in class hotel Ability to foster commitment, team spirit and trust Must be able to respond to multiple task interruptions in order to provide the best service to our guests Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information Interviews will begin immediately.
