Job Description

Hilton Garden Inn State College The Hilton Garden Inn State College is seeking a dependable, energetic, and guest-focused Front Desk Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in delivering exceptional guest service, and is ready to take on additional leadership responsibilities within a busy hotel environment. The Front Desk Supervisor will assist with the daily operations of the Front Desk while helping lead and support our Guest Service team. This individual will serve as a leader during their shifts, assist with guest concerns and problem resolution, and help ensure Hilton service standards are consistently maintained. Previous Hilton experience is highly preferred , and candidates with experience using Hilton systems and familiarity with Hilton Honors standards will receive additional consideration. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support Front Desk team members during assigned shifts. Provide friendly, professional, and efficient check-in and check-out experiences. Assist guests with questions, requests, concerns, and service recovery. Serve as a point of leadership when department managers are not immediately available. Ensure Hilton Honors members are properly recognized and benefits are delivered according to brand standards. Assist with room assignments, special requests, VIP arrivals, and high-demand periods. Help train, coach, and support new and existing Front Desk employees. Maintain a professional and welcoming lobby and Front Desk environment. Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Restaurant, Sales, and hotel leadership. Assist with shift paperwork, cash handling, reservations, billing questions, and operational reports. Help ensure Front Desk policies, procedures, and Hilton brand standards are consistently followed. Take ownership of guest issues and work toward effective and professional resolutions. Qualifications Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred. Previous Hilton experience is strongly preferred. Previous supervisory, leadership, or Front Desk experience is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to remain professional and organized during busy or high-pressure periods. Comfortable handling guest concerns and making decisions independently when necessary. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a leadership team. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Basic computer and reservation system experience required. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and high-demand Penn State event weekends as needed.
