About Le Chateau Pet Resort Le Chateau Pet Resort has been setting the standard for luxury pet care in Amarillo and Wichita Falls for over 16 years. Position Overview We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and passionate Assistant Pet Resort Manager to help lead our daycare and boarding operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work alongside the team to ensure every pet receives exceptional care while helping oversee daily operations, staff development, and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do Leadership & Team Development Hire, train, coach, and develop team members Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented culture Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching Daily Operations Assist with scheduling, time-off requests, and payroll preparation Help optimize reservations, occupancy, and operational efficiency Manage purchasing within approved budgets Collaborate with ownership to achieve operational goals Pet Care & Safety Supervise daycare playgroups and ensure safe group interactions Maintain the highest standards of animal care and cleanliness Respond appropriately to pet or employee illnesses, injuries, or incidents Ensure all safety protocols are followed throughout the facility Customer Experience Build lasting relationships with pet parents through outstanding customer service Resolve concerns professionally and compassionately Help promote Le Chateau within the community and support marketing initiatives Create a welcoming experience that keeps families coming back Qualifications Experience in animal care, pet services, daycare, boarding, veterinary, or a related field Previous leadership or management experience preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Passion for providing exceptional care for animals Reliable, dependable, and professional Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in an active environment throughout the day Schedule & Work Expectations Le Chateau Pet Resort operates 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week , with overnight care provided for boarding guests. This is a salaried management position . Salaried managers are compensated to fulfill the responsibilities of their position rather than for specific hours worked. Due to the nature of management responsibilities, work may be performed both on-site and remotely as business needs require. Assistant Managers are trained in every department of the resort, including overnight operations, and should be flexible to support the needs of the business. Weekend, holiday, evening, and occasional overnight availability is expected.
