About the
Opportunity:
Apply specialized knowledge of financial management in the hospitality industry to review. Analyze hotel department budgets, define, and direct changes as required. Collaborate in creating, directing, and executing hotel sales and marketing, revenue optimization, distribution strategies, and initiatives to yield desired financial results. Apply principles of hospitality and tourism management to hire, supervise, coach, discipline, and conduct performance evaluations for department heads and key personnel. Communicate with ownership regarding results and align strategic plans for future development of the hotel. Approve the hotels department budgets, defining, and directing changes as required. Facilitate the preparation of the hotel's budgets and forecasts for corporate submission and approvals. Review forecasts and balanced scorecard. Direct the hotel's actions required maximizing profitability, increasing service levels, and improving team member satisfaction. Hire, supervise, coach, discipline, and conduct performance evaluations for department heads and key personnel. Input and retrieve information from computer system for file maintenance, correspondence, and preparation of forecasts. Supervise seven (7) department directors. Requires 5% domestic travel.
Requirements:
Requires Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Global Business Leadership, or a related field and three years of experience in Hotel Management or a related position. Requires experience managing hotel operations, ensure continued profitability, and revenue maximization; utilizing complex fiscal hospitality management principles; monitoring high-potential department heads and team member activity and ensure their growth within the company; performing critical analysis and manage extensive amounts of information; managing multiple projects and establishing priorities within company; and communicating with department heads and developing the skills and abilities of direct supports. Must travel between 2 hotel sites.
