(FRONT

) — Ian Munsick's Cowboy Bar & Western Grill Inside The Landmark Hotel & Casino
  • Deadwood, South Dakota Full-Time
  • Salary $60,000
  • 65,000 (based on relevant experience and availability)
ABOUT US
Ian Munsick grew up on a working ranch in Sheridan, Wyoming, and this restaurant is his love letter to Western life. Live music, whiskey, scratch Western food, and a room that feels like home. Our real product is how every guest feels from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave. We are looking for a leader who lives that.
THE ROLE
The Operations Supervisor is a full-time, on-site leadership role focused on
FRONT OF HOUSE
service. You will be the steady presence on the floor every shift: touching tables, supporting the team, spotting pinch points before they become problems, and making sure every server, host, bartender and expo has what they need to win. You report directly to our FOH & Dual Outlets Manager, who oversees scheduling, overall FOH operations and the bar programs at both the Landmark and the IMCB. You will also work closely with our Chef team. Your primary home is Ian Munsick's Cowboy Bar. From time to time you may support operations at both locations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Western Hospitality & Culture
  • Deliver true Western hospitality: warm, genuine and attentive. Make sure every guest leaves feeling they had a great experience from start to finish.
  • Touch tables throughout every shift. Check in, recover anything that went sideways, and build regulars.
  • Be the rock for the team alongside our leadership group. Lead a positive, healthy culture built on teamwork, accountability and lifting each other up.
  • Recognize great work, coach in the moment, and keep morale strong on the busiest nights. Service Leadership & Execution
  • Lead shift execution on the floor: pacing, section flow, ticket times and the guest experience.
  • Run expo during peak periods and keep the window and kitchen communication tight.
  • Find pinch points early (host stand, bar, kitchen window, patio) and relieve the pressure before issues arise.
  • Help wherever the shift needs it, at every point in the night.
  • Keep the whole front of house clean, organized and stocked. Reservations & Flow
  • Own OpenTable:
manage reservations, waitlists and nightly pacing alongside the host team.
  • Balance the floor plan with the kitchen and bar so the room runs at the right pace. Training & Development
  • Train and develop hosts and servers on service standards, menu knowledge, Toast and our steps of service.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing coaching for the FOH team. Toast POS Leadership
  • Use Toast confidently on the management side: comps, voids, discounts, check adjustments, device setup and troubleshooting, basic operational settings and report pulling.
  • Help staff work through Toast issues on site, in real time, without slowing service. Leadership Support
  • Support the FOH & Dual Outlets Manager and the Chef team with whatever tasks they need.
  • Follow and uphold all policies, including responsible alcohol service and gaming-property compliance.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience (FOH supervisor, floor manager, MOD or similar) in a high-volume setting.
  • STRONG working knowledge of Toast POS on the management side: comps, voids, device setup and reporting. Required.
  • OpenTable (or similar reservation platform) experience strongly preferred.
  • Expo experience and the ability to read and run a busy window.
  • A people-first leader who builds a positive, team-first culture and stays calm and upbeat under pressure.
  • A genuine love of hospitality, and pride in making guests feel like family.
  • Full-time availability, including nights, weekends, holidays and peak events (live music nights, rallies, holidays). Preferred.
  • Responsible alcohol service certification preferred (or the ability to obtain it).
  • Must be 21 or older.
BENEFITS & PERKS
  • Salary of $60,000
  • 65,000, based on experience and availability
  • 2% employee bonus on every paycheck, no conditions
  • 401(k) with a 4% company match (eligible after 90 days)
  • Paid time off: 2 hours accrued every week (after 90 days)
  • Staff meals on shift, plus employee dining discounts
  • A leadership role in a brand-new, high-energy concept with room to grow
