Job Description
Job Summary Super 8 by Wyndham Arlington Near AT&T Stadium is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead the daily operations of our 50-room limited-service hotel. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who enjoys working in a smaller property, developing teams, delivering exceptional guest service, and driving operational excellence. This is not a desk-only management role. The successful candidate must be willing to lead by example, assist departments when needed, and foster a positive team culture while maintaining high operational standards. Key ResponsibilitiesHotel Operations Oversee all daily hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Breakfast. Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming property for guests and employees. Monitor room inventory, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall operational performance. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, train, coach, and develop hotel staff. Create employee schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching. Promote accountability, teamwork, and a guest-first culture. Financial & Administrative Manage hotel expenses, labor costs, cash handling, and operational budgets. Monitor daily reports, deposits, revenue, and key performance metrics. Implement sales and revenue strategies to maximize occupancy and profitability. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls. Wyndham Brand Standards Maintain compliance with Wyndham operational and brand standards. Prepare the hotel for Wyndham QA inspections. Ensure completion of corrective action plans and continuous operational improvements. Maintain all required safety documentation, training, and compliance records. Property Operations Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guestrooms are clean, functional, and guest-ready. Monitor preventative maintenance and overall property appearance. Work with vendors and contractors to complete repairs and maintenance projects. Ensure the hotel remains safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently. QualificationsRequired Minimum 3 years of hotel management or hotel supervisory experience. Previous experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, or Hotel Operations Manager is strongly preferred . Strong knowledge of front desk operations and hotel guest service. Experience supervising hotel staff and creating work schedules. Experience using hotel Property Management Systems (PMS). Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call when business requires. Preferred Experience with Wyndham, Choice, Hilton, Marriott, IHG, or other branded hotels. Experience in a limited-service hotel or motel environment. Experience improving QA scores, guest satisfaction, and operational performance.
