Front Desk Supervisor - Boutique Hotel, East Austin Our small, award-winning boutique hotel in East Austin is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented hospitality professional to help lead our front desk operations.Overview:
This role suits someone who thrives in a well-paced, independently owned property, enjoys variety in their day, and has a sharp eye for detail. As Front Desk Supervisor, you'll oversee day-to-day guest services while also supervising and training front desk staff, maintaining consistency across shifts, and helping uphold our service standards. Responsibilities include managing reservations, guest check-in and check-out, providing local recommendations for dining and activities, and general guest assistance throughout their stay. You'll also be responsible for training new front desk staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and consistency, and stepping in to resolve issues that require additional judgment or experience. This is a hands-on role at a small property where staff at every level contribute across departments. Additional duties include stocking supplies, managing inventories, inspecting and quality-checking guest rooms, folding laundry, and ensuring general property tidiness.Details:
Schedule:
Fixed weekly shift, 32-38 hours per week with possibility of full time.Shifts:
7:45am-3:00pm and 12:00am-7:00pm, including some weekends and holidays. No overnight shifts. Availability for on-call evening coverage for after-hours guest needs (paid). Free street parking provided.Requirements:
Previous hotel front desk, office management, reception, or other related experience required Previous supervisory, training, or team-lead experience required Customer service or administrative background required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable with standard office software (Windows, Microsoft Office) Minimum one year of Austin residency, with working knowledge of the local area Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must pass a background checkAbout Us:
