Job Description
Pride Management Inc. welcomes strong, qualified applicants to apply for the position of
GENERAL MANAGER
for our NEW Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Corpus Christi NW opening in November 2026 . The best applicants will have Marriott experience preferred; Hilton, IHG background helpful, with either a limited / select service or extended stay background. Top candidates will have 2-3 years as General Manager experience from the select service brands. The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily hotel operations to achieve the planned goals for the hotel and compliance with all management company and brand standards. The General Manager is expected to demonstrate leadership in helping the execution of sales & marketing initiatives, financial planning, analysis, and management, extraordinary guest service, team member development, and overall operations excellence. Oversee all daily hotel operations ensuring smooth and efficiency across all departments including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and sales. Foster a positive work environment encouraging team work and accountability. Ensure compliance with hotel guest service and quality standards. Handle HR functions such as staffing, training, and conflict resolution to build a motivated team. Monitor financial operations including managing budgets, controlling costs, entering payroll and accounts payable, and analyzing reports to support sustainable growth. Job Requirements- Minimum of (2-3) years hotel experience as a Hotel General Manager
- Experience working in a leadership capacity managing a minimum of $3M in revenues
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Experience working with a property management system
- Experience working with third party accounting systems
- Fosse experience preferred, Marriott, Hilton IHG, Background helpful
- Some Food & Beverage experience
- Proficiency in Revenue Management
- Must be able to perform essential Job Duties/Functions not limited to: Standing and walking for extended periods of time, sitting, bending, stretching, and lifting of items 10 pounds or more.
- Must adhere and follow all State and OSHA requirements including equipment and chemical handling safety and storage to ensure the overall safety of others.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to Multi-task and handle a busy hotel environment. Previous Hotel Opening experience preferred, but not required.
- This position will require working mornings, evenings and weekends.
