Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team in Chesapeake, VA. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational efficiency and financial performance. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and maintenance to ensure seamless guest experiences. Lead and supervise hospitality teams, fostering a motivated and customer-focused work environment through effective team management and communication. Manage property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize booking processes and maximize occupancy rates. Develop and implement revenue management strategies to increase profitability while maintaining high service standards. Monitor and manage hospitality operations budgets, ensuring financial targets are met through careful budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis. Uphold hotel guest service standards by ensuring staff deliver exceptional guest services, handle guest complaints professionally, and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. Coordinate human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and compliance with employment laws. Conduct regular audits of hotel operations such as night audits, front desk procedures, phone etiquette on multi-line systems, and overall property safety protocols. Collaborate with department heads to improve operational efficiency and implement best practices across all areas of the hotel. Maintain compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to hospitality management. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS), property management software, and reservation platforms. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively across multiple departments. Demonstrated expertise in revenue management, budgeting, financial operations, and human resources within a hospitality setting. Exceptional customer service skills coupled with strong managerial communication abilities. Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to enhance guest relations in diverse markets. Experience overseeing night audit procedures and managing front desk operations including multi-line phone systems and guest services standards. Resort or hotel experience in Chesapeake or similar markets is preferred; familiarity with hospitality reservation systems is essential.
