Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. In this pivotal role, you will drive excellence in guest service, ensure operational efficiency, and foster a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of hospitality, managing financial performance, and creating memorable experiences for every guest. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth coordination across departments including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. Lead and supervise hospitality teams, fostering a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, exceptional service, and continuous improvement. Manage hospitality operations budgets, including revenue management, cost control, and financial planning to maximize profitability. Implement and uphold hotel guest service standards to deliver outstanding guest experiences and resolve any issues promptly. Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize booking processes and guest data management. Develop strategies for revenue growth through effective marketing, pricing strategies, and occupancy optimization. Conduct regular staff training on customer service excellence, phone etiquette with multi-line phone systems, and hotel policies to ensure consistent quality. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while overseeing human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations. Monitor hotel guest relations initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction scores and foster loyalty programs. Oversee night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting at the close of each day's operations. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS), property management software, and hospitality reservation platforms. Demonstrated ability in overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and implementing revenue management strategies. Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams within a hospitality environment. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions across diverse populations. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and communicate effectively with guests and stakeholders. Extensive experience in customer service standards specific to hotels or resorts with a focus on guest satisfaction. Familiarity with front desk operations including multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette. Knowledge of human resources practices related to hiring, training, performance management, and employee engagement. Previous resort experience or background in night audit procedures is advantageous for this role.
