Responsibilities:
Interview, hire, train, support, coach and mentor the department managers and their teams. Champion great service and empower your staff to take care of our guests. Cultivate relationships with guests to develop loyalty and maintain a high level of satisfaction. Apply problem solving skills to resolve guest and/or employee issues to their satisfaction. Monitor daily tasks to ensure that all standard operating procedures are followed. Assist with benefits administration, payroll and other human resources tasks including employee recognition and celebrations. Support and contribute to the proactive sales efforts of the sales team on a continual basis. Ensure that proper emergency procedures are communicated and followed, when necessary. Conduct property inspections to ensure the hotel is a clean, safe and secure environment. Plan for success and improvement with staff meetings, action plans and daily huddles. Strategize with Revenue Management to maximize revenues and grow market share. Prepare various financial reports for both management and owners.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings. Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags. Comply with InnVentures Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Perform other duties as requested by management.
