West Hollywood, CA Job Details Full-time $27.13 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Cleaning and sanitation procedure implementation Cleaning equipment Full Job Description Position Purpose Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the team of room attendants and ensure we provide excellent customer service. This individual will be responsible for training and motivating team members and ensuring that the private and public areas correspond to the cleanliness standards. Duties and Responsibilities Delegate service area assignments at the beginning of each shift. Oversee staff on a daily basis; motivate team members and evaluate their performance; discipline personnel as required. Train and educate housekeeping team on cleaning and maintenance tasks, Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. Perform staff-level work during peak demand hours or understaffed situations as needed. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of and educate team on correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach, rubber gloves, etc. Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet. Report any damage or maintenance problems to the Engineering Department and/or Housekeeping Manager/Director. Keep a log of any lost and found items from guest rooms. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Must be able to effectively communicate. Must be able to work with no supervision. Must possess knowledge of all cleaning standards and methods, materials, and equipment. Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job: carry heavy items and move furniture from time to time. (30lb) Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. (up to 8 hours)
Qualifications Education:
Minimum education level: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Previous cleaning experience, previous supervisory experience.
