Salary Range:
$135,000-$140,000 USD per annum Job Description Reporting to the Director of Rooms, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards consistently offering professional, engaging and friendly service. Ensuring the highest degree of cleanliness and maintenance in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards, policies and procedures. Creating an environment wherein continuous improvements are made in the areas of GOP, EES, VOG, and LQA Effectively and accurately managing payroll and departmental expenses of Housekeeping department, within budgeted and forecasted guidelines. Developing and executing, in conjunction with the Executive Committee, any capital projects related to guest rooms and public areas. Actively engage with local laundry partners and consistently source new business opportunities Overseeing all recruitment processes, and developing departmental succession plans Effectively manage all colleagues relationships within the department Maintaining an environment that promotes the health, wellness and safety of both colleagues and guests Maintaining an active Preventative Maintenance program in conjunction with the Director, Engineering Ensuring high colleague engagement through recognition and removal of identified barriers Overseeing the Housekeeping Management to maximize leadership synergy Liaising with all Hotel departments as required Actively participating as a member of hotel committees as required Ensuring existing environmental initiatives are adhered to, and new and innovative environmental opportunities are implemented Other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous Senior Housekeeping Leadership experience, 2-3 years within a similar establishment is required Proven leadership, developer and delegation skills with an ability to lead medium-size team of 30-45 colleagues to achieve the departmental goals Strong organizational and administration skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work in a fast paced, diverse environment University degree or Hotel Management Diploma preferred Excellent computer skills Knowledge of the Property Manager System / Opera Excellent problem solver and decision maker Physical and operational demands:
Mobility:
Moving between guestrooms, public areas, and service zones to inspect cleanliness and address issues Hands‑on oversight: Occasionally assisting with cleaning tasks or demonstrating procedures to staff Standing and walking for extended periods during inspections, meetings, and guest interactions Lifting and carrying light to moderate items up to 60 pounds (e.g., cleaning supplies, linens) when necessary Working irregular hours including weekends, holidays, and early mornings, which can affect physical stamina Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
