Description The Courtyard Santa Monica is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join the team. In this role, you will ensure associates of the housekeeping and laundry department clean and maintain guest rooms and public space in accordance with client/guest expectations, as well as Crescent's standards of product and service. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversees associates of room attendants, house-persons, and inspectors by conducting daily and quarterly meetings, inspecting associates work and giving guidance so that deficiencies are corrected, and standards are met. Assist the Housekeeping Manager with the following: interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline when appropriate. Arranges work schedules, determining days off, ensuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and/or any current or anticipated projects. Submits payroll records, correcting errors to ensure pay is on time and includes any purchased rooms, extra cleanup, rollaway beds, etc. Maintains and reviews computerized records for budgeting and forecasting of department expenses as well as inspection scores for housekeepers. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to the team. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Ensure compliance with usage of chemicals and wearing of PPE. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Prior housekeeping experience is highly desired. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach to assist other staff members, i.e., room attendants, house-persons, and inspectors to complete Crescent individual tasks if situation demands.
