Compensation:
$30-32 per hour Position Overview A private household in Stamford, CT is seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeper/Cook whose primary focus is the kitchen and daily meal service. This is a homestyle cooking role — shopping for, preparing, and serving fresh lunches and dinners each day, rather than preparing meals in advance to be left. The candidate owns the full kitchen domain: menu planning, cooking, cleaning, stock control, and upkeep of the kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, and dining porches. The household has a full-time housekeeper; this position provides limited weekend coverage of general household tidying when the other housekeeper is off. Household size increases during the summer months, when additional family members and children are present (children have their own nanny), so shopping and meal volume increase accordingly. Schedule flexibility is expected during periods when the principal travels, when duties are lighter (silver polishing and general household resets).
