Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Environmental Services, ensuring and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities:
Maintain effective working relationships with all constituents including administration, team members, providers, patients and vendors. Identify cost effective systems needed to support the Environmental Services department at the facility. Responsible for conducting required one-on-one training using approved techniques, procedures and educational materials in the coaching process. Monitor all employees to evaluate team member performance including technical skills, cleaning and maintenance of hard surface floors, carpeting, walls, windows, stairwells, elevators, automatic door tracks and baseboards. Proactively identify and prioritize areas that need environmental services attention. Responsible for meeting all goals related to Orlando Health strategic pillars, including but not limited to, budget, customer experience, quality, and team member engagement. Demonstrate working knowledge of and lead projects utilizing necessary equipment. Advise administration, supervisory staff, peer groups and team members as to the proper interpretation of various Environmental Health, Safety and Environment of Care policies, procedures and regulations. Act as a resource and role model for the team. Evaluate the performance of team members reporting to the position based on organizational, departmental, personal goals and objectives. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Must have a good working knowledge of computer systems to include Microsoft Office Suite, Bed Management System, Timekeeping System, or other related computer systems used in the daily functions of the department. Adheres to all Standards of Precaution, MSDS and Hand Hygiene directives. Capable of completing Patient room cleaning processes utilizing the 7-step cleaning method when functioning and performing Environmental Housekeeper duties. Responsible for coordinating the removal of regular, recycled and bio-medical waste. Must complete all mandatory training as designated and required. Attendance at in-service as required. Participates in departmental quality assurance and improvement activities as appropriate. Must be able to maintain productivity and volume standards established for the assigned facility. Keeps current with all policies and procedures of the hospital and the department. Willing to participate in other related duties not directly assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. Five (5) years of Environmental Services Leadership experience, preferably in Healthcare.
