Full Job Description Summary:
The Housekeeping Tower Manager is a management role with direct responsibility for the oversight of all Housekeeping staff. This role responds promptly to guest needs, inspects rooms, oversee Floor Managers, Quality Control Associates, Linen Runners, Floor Care, VIP Associates, and Room Attendants. Also manages large turnover days, and coordinates maintenance and VIP room readiness. The Team Manager motivates, trains, coaches, and evaluates housekeeping staff while enforcing all RH&R policies and procedures. Oversee and manages overall tower operations and associates.Responsibilities:
Responds to all guest requests, problems, and complaints in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline all Housekeeping personnel according to RH&R policies. Ensure consistency with departmental opening and closing procedures. Develop employee morale and ensure training of Housekeeping personnel. Inspect rooms daily and ensure that all rooms are inspected daily. Ensure implementation of all RH&R rules, policies, and regulations. Manage and organize large turnaround days (including group check-ins or check-outs). Must check guest rooms for repairs and ensure that proper maintenance is completed. Operate radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff. Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with Managers, employees, and other departments. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the public area. Completes performance review. Assist the department in inspecting all VIP rooms prior to arrival. Report lost and found to the security office as soon as possible. Tower Operations Oversee Floor Managers/QC, Linen Runners, Floor Care, VIP Associates and Room Attendants Conduct daily linen closets, vendings, stairwells, landings inspections Conduct daily/weekly/month specified inspections of guestrooms and overall tower Conduct Rosen Standards inspections on Floor Managers and QC's Monitor and conduct inspections on cribs, handicap chairs and crib logs Monitor and log overall condition of hallway and guest room carpet/LVT Conduct safety inspections, locate and report any potential safety hazards in the tower Conduct inspections and log glass door/mold/mildew cleaning in guestrooms Ensure and log that Floor Managers/QCs are conducting General Cleaning of guestrooms. Conduct and log monthly rollaway inspections Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy. All other duties as assigned.Experience/Qualifications:
1+ years of housekeeping management experience required. 2+ years of housekeeping experience required; hospitality experience preferred. Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently. Must be able to legally work in the USA. Education and Certification(s)/License(s): High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
