Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Director of Rooms to oversee front office, housekeeping, guest services, and overall rooms operations for a fast-paced waterfront hospitality operation in Pompano Beach. This leadership role supports multiple properties and requires a hands-on operator who can elevate guest experience, drive accountability, and maintain strong operational standards while leading from the floor. What you'll be doing Oversee all Rooms Division operations including Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Guest Services Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and hourly team members Ensure exceptional guest service standards and consistent execution across all shifts Manage labor productivity, scheduling, payroll, and departmental expenses Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and service recovery efforts Maintain brand standards, cleanliness standards, and operational compliance Partner closely with maintenance, food & beverage, and leadership teams to ensure seamless operations Analyze reports, forecasts, occupancy trends, and departmental performance metrics Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives Create a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture What you bring to the table Previous Director of Rooms, Rooms Division Manager, or senior hotel operations leadership experience Full-service hotel experience required Strong leadership presence with a hands-on management style Excellent guest service instincts and problem-solving ability Strong understanding of housekeeping and front office operations Experience managing labor costs, payroll, and departmental budgets Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Marriott experience is a plus Strong communication and team development skills
