Housekeeping Supervisor, You Will:
Lead, supervise, and motivate the housekeeping team, including supporting staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management. Assign daily housekeeping duties and rooms, monitor productivity, and ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Conduct daily and weekly inspections of guest rooms and resort areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards are consistently maintained. Inspect rooms and furnishings for damage, wear, stains, or maintenance concerns and ensure issues are properly reported and addressed. Assist with cleaning and room touch-ups as needed to maintain established cleanliness and presentation standards. Prepare weekly schedules and adjust assignments based on business and operational needs. Monitor housekeeping quality and productivity, identify opportunities for improvement, and follow up on department initiatives. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to promote strong performance, teamwork, and exceptional guest service. Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management, providing professional service and resolving questions or concerns promptly. Lead and participate in department meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and operational priorities. Maintain accurate housekeeping records, including daily logs, room completion, schedules, and inventory. Conduct regular supply, linen, and houseware inventories and ensure accurate reporting. Reinforce company policies, procedures, safety practices, and service standards. Report and follow up on maintenance concerns and properly manage lost and found items according to company procedures. Promote a safe, clean, organized, and professional work environment while maintaining regular attendance and meeting company standards. Qualifications Must be flexible with scheduling and available to work weekends, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as holidays, based on business needs Two to four years of related housekeeping, hospitality, supervisory, or leadership experience and/or training preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent, required. Valid driver's license required.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, coach, motivate, and develop team members. Knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and quality and service standards. Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect guest rooms and resort areas and identify cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to address operational challenges and guest concerns professionally. Knowledge of workplace safety practices, proper handling of cleaning chemicals, and housekeeping equipment. Additional Information Why Westgate?
