WHAT'S THE JOB?
The Housekeeping Supervisor leads and coordinates all Housekeepers and Janitors, ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of the accommodation and common facilities meet Dexterra' s highest standards. This role is critical to the success of a rapidly scaling operation. The project will launch at approximately 500 rooms and expand quickly to 2,000 rooms, requiring strong leadership, planning, and execution. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for day‑to‑day supervision, workforce scheduling, quality control, and coordination with the Site Manager to support operational growth. The successful candidate will be a hands‑on leader who sets expectations, drives accountability, and ensures facilities remain clean, safe, and guest‑ready at all times.
YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE
Leading, supervising, and coordinating all Housekeepers and Janitors across accommodation and common areas Providing daily guidance, coaching, and support to team members while setting a positive example Planning and scheduling housekeeping and janitorial staff within budget parameters, aligned to occupancy levels Conducting regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met Managing housekeeping inventories and ordering supplies in accordance with budget and operational needs Assisting the Site Managers with administrative reporting, including: Timesheets Incident and accident reports Staffing and operational documentation Supporting facility shutdowns or ramp‑downs, including inventory reporting and deep‑cleaning activities Observing, documenting, and reporting maintenance issues, damage, or deficiencies to management Ensuring compliance with WHMIS, HACCP, and Food Safe standards Supporting onboarding and training of new housekeeping staff as the site scales Maintaining strong communication with site leadership to support operational planning and growth Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
8+ years of experience in housekeeping or a related facilities services field 8+ years of experience in a senior or supervisory housekeeping role Experience supporting large‑scale or rapidly growing accommodation environments Prior experience in workforce accommodations, hospitality, or institutional environments preferred Familiarity with accommodation or property management software is an asset Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Ability to manage teams, schedules, and priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Additional Information Dexterra is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
