Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping supervision, ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This role requires excellent supervisory skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to supervise a team effectively in a fast-paced environment. This premium/luxury hotel features 70 upscale rooms that require the utmost attention to detail. The ability to motivate, reward and recognize employees and maintain a kind, fun and supportive team environment is required. The ability to actively supervise each shift and Duties Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques and procedures. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery within the hotel environment. Collaborate with management to review and develop strategies, budget-planning, training initiatives, and best practices. Implement safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations in all cleaning activities. Qualifications Proven experience in housekeeping management or a supervisory role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and industrial cleaning practices. Prior IHG or premium/luxury hotels is highly desirable. Previous experience in hotel or custodial settings is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills to interact with staff and guests professionally. Ability to lead by example and motivate a team towards achieving high standards of cleanliness.
