Job Description

Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Director of Maintenance & Housekeeping to lead our Environmental Services Department. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments. Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for the building, equipment, and grounds. Ensure compliance with all life safety codes, OSHA regulations, Department of Health requirements, and infection control standards. Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance and housekeeping staff. Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, sprinkler, and emergency systems. Coordinate repairs, renovations, and outside contractors as needed. Monitor departmental budgets and control supply and repair costs. Conduct regular environmental rounds to identify and resolve safety concerns. Ensure resident rooms and common areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and attractive condition. Participate in emergency preparedness planning and respond to facility emergencies, including after-hours situations. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience in maintenance and environmental services, preferably in a long-term care, healthcare, or skilled nursing setting. Strong working knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety requirements. Knowledge of CMS, Department of Health, OSHA, and infection prevention regulations. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to emergencies. Valid driver's license preferred.
