Waste Management (WM) seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations supporting essential waste and environmental services. In this on-site role, you will oversee technicians maintaining fleets, compactors, and facility systems, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and compliance. Responsibilities include planning preventive and corrective maintenance, managing vendors and parts inventory, tracking KPIs, and controlling budgets. You'll foster a culture of integrity, inclusion, and innovation while helping WM deliver dependable, sustainable solutions to communities and customers. Responsibilities Lead daily maintenance operations for WM facilities and equipment to ensure safety and reliability Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for trucks, compactors, and plant systems Supervise and coach maintenance technicians, providing training and performance feedback Coordinate with operations to minimize equipment downtime and support service delivery Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and parts inventory Monitor maintenance KPIs, safety metrics, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards Develop and manage maintenance budgets, cost controls, and asset life-cycle planning Implement and continuously improve maintenance procedures, SOPs, and documentation Ensure strict adherence to WM safety culture, lockout/tagout, and risk-reduction practices Support sustainability and reliability projects to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact Required Skills Preventive and corrective maintenance planning Industrial equipment and fleet maintenance Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Safety and OSHA/lockout-tagout compliance Vendor and contractor management Budgeting and cost control Team leadership and staff scheduling Root cause analysis and reliability improvement Reading technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation
