This role ensures that all areas of the facility are clean, orderly, and well-maintained, meeting the highest standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction. The supervisor coordinates and supervises the activities of the housekeeping and laundry staff, provides training, monitors/orders inventory, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping and laundry staff. Provide training, guidance, and support to team members. Conduct regular meetings to communicate goals, policies, and procedures. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed.Operational Management:
Plan and assign daily cleaning and laundry tasks. Inspect rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. Address and resolve complaints regarding housekeeping and laundry services promptly. Develop and implement efficient cleaning and laundry procedures and standards.Inventory and Supplies:
Maintain an inventory of cleaning and laundry supplies and equipment. Order and stock supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective and timely replenishment. Manage the budget for housekeeping and laundry operations.Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Conduct regular safety training and inspections. Implement and enforce procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.Quality Control:
Develop and maintain quality control standards to ensure a consistently high level of service. Conduct regular inspections and audits of rooms and laundry operations. Implement corrective actions for any identified issues.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred.Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping and/or laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting.Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using housekeeping and laundry management software. Basic knowledge of budgeting and inventory control.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely and effectively.Job Type:
