Job Description
Job Overview Spark Hotels is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager for the Holiday Inn Mentor. This role is responsible for overseeing efficient operations of the Housekeeping department including leading the housekeeping team, managing labor and expenses and providing coaching, counseling and training. Benefits Generous Paid Time Off Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401K with company match Associate Discount Access to our EAP Responsibilities Lead, train, coach, and support Housekeeping and Laundry team members to ensure cleanliness, productivity, professionalism, and excellent guest service. Plan daily room assignments, schedules, and staffing needs based on occupancy, business demands, productivity goals, and budget guidelines. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces to ensure hotel, company, and brand standards are met. Coordinate with other departments regarding room status, guest requests, maintenance needs, work orders, and guest concerns. Manage housekeeping inventory, supplies, linens, equipment, vendor relationships, and department expenses within budget guidelines. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance feedback, scheduling, payroll review, and other departmental administrative duties. Skills & Requirements Prior housekeeping experience required; hotel housekeeping experience strongly preferred. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead, train, coach, and hold team members accountable. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer and administrative skills, including scheduling, inventory, and work order systems. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, lift, and move between floors throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and push or pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to safely operate housekeeping and cleaning equipment.
