Reports to: Systems Director, Environmental Services TouchPoint, Support Services, provides customer focused support services. As specialists, we perform services including healthcare housekeeping, management in laundry processing, patient transportation, and food service. Job Summary As the Senior Director of Environmental Services , you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Environmental Services (EVS) Department within a large 650 bed acute care hospital. This role is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and staff while overseeing departmental operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and team development. The Senior Director partners closely with hospital leadership and cross-functional departments to drive service excellence, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction. This position typically reports to a Regional Director of Operations.Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and direction for Environmental Services operations within an acute care hospital Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 salaried managers and 114 hourly associates, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, financial performance, and productivity metrics Ensure department operations are aligned with established financial goals and budget expectations Collaborate with hospital leadership and department managers to support organizational priorities and service excellence Coordinate EVS activities with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure seamless hospital operations Plan, organize, direct, and oversee all departmental functions, workflows, staffing, and performance standards Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and best practices Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, innovation, and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, infection prevention, and accreditation standards Lead quality improvement initiatives and support organizational performance objectives Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and outcomes Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing management and frontline team Maintain current and accurate job descriptions and performance expectations for department staff Promote professional development and encourage participation in training and educational programs Build strong relationships with hospital administration and key stakeholders through proactive communication and partnershipPreferred Qualifications:
