As a key member of the Housekeeping leadership team, this position is responsible for inspecting guest rooms and public areas, supporting room attendants through coaching and training, and ensuring compliance with brand standards, company policies, and safety procedures. The Housekeeping Inspector works closely with the Executive Housekeeper and housekeeping team to deliver clean, well-maintained accommodations that exceed guest expectations. What You'll Be Doing Quality Assurance Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance meet hotel and brand standards. Verify that all guest amenities, linens, and supplies are properly stocked and presented. Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective action with Room Attendants and supervisors before rooms are released for guest occupancy. Ensure guest rooms are inspection-ready and completed in a timely manner. Leadership & Team Development Lead by example by promoting quality, efficiency, and exceptional guest service. Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback to Room Attendants to reinforce cleanliness and productivity standards. Assist with onboarding and training new housekeeping team members. Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment. Support daily housekeeping operations and assist with room assignments as needed. Operations Monitor housekeeping productivity and room status throughout the day. Communicate effectively with the Front Desk, Engineering, and other departments to ensure guest rooms are available on time and maintenance concerns are addressed promptly. Assist in prioritizing room inspections based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, and guest requests. Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate room status updates. Inventory & Supplies Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, and guest amenities to ensure appropriate inventory levels. Report supply shortages and assist with inventory counts and ordering. Ensure housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas remain organized, clean, and fully stocked. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, safety regulations, and housekeeping procedures. Promote proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment. Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and lost-and-found items according to established procedures. Maintain confidentiality and security of guest rooms and hotel property. Skills & Requirements Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment required; supervisory or inspection experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems preferred. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hotel standards, and workplace safety practices. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Physical work is an essential part of this position. Team Members must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. The role requires frequent movement throughout the hotel while inspecting guest rooms and public spaces.
