Maintain the home throughout the week so that it remains consistently clean, tidy, organized, and functional , with laundry and routine cleaning distributed across the week rather than accumulating for one large cleaning day. Daily Responsibilities — Monday through FridayMorning Family Support Arrive in the morning and assist with the children's breakfast and morning routine. Clean up the breakfast and kitchen areas after the family leaves. Feed the dog as needed. Daily House Reset Make beds and straighten bedrooms. Pick up and organize toys, clothing, and miscellaneous items. Keep closets and frequently used areas neat and organized. Load and unload the dishwasher and wash any remaining dishes. Wipe down kitchen counters and commonly used surfaces. Empty trash and recycling as needed. Vacuum high-traffic areas as needed. Generally reset the home so it feels clean, organized, and ready for the day. Laundry & Clothing Care Complete the laundry assigned for that day's rotation. Wash, dry, fold or hang, and put clothing away. Place appropriate clothing in the clothing steamer and return items to closets once finished. Keep laundry rooms and clothing-care areas clean and tidy. Weekly RotationMonday — Adult Laundry & Primary Areas Complete adult clothing laundry. Fold/hang and put clothing away. Steam clothing as needed. Straighten and organize the primary bedroom and closet. Gather and drop off dry cleaning as needed. Tuesday — Kids' Laundry & Kids' Rooms Complete children's clothing laundry. Fold/hang and put clothing away. Steam clothing as needed. Organize children's bedrooms and closets. Pick up and organize toys and commonly used play areas. Wednesday — Linens & Household Laundry Wash bed sheets and household linens. Change sheets and remake beds. Wash towels, bath mats, and other household linens as needed. Pick up groceries as needed. Bring groceries inside and put them away. Thursday — Bathroom Cleaning Thoroughly clean all bathrooms. Clean toilets, sinks, counters, and mirrors. Clean tubs and showers. Wipe down bathroom surfaces and fixtures. Clean bathroom floors. Replace towels as needed. Restock toiletries and paper products as needed. Friday — Floors & Weekly Reset Vacuum throughout the house. Mop all hard-surface floors. Spot-clean baseboards and other noticeable areas as time allows. Finish any remaining laundry from the week. Complete a general house reset so the home is ready for the weekend. Pick up dry cleaning if ready. As-Needed Household Errands & Tasks Grocery pickup and putting groceries away. Dry-cleaning drop-off and pickup. Amazon and other package returns. Restock household essentials. Notify the family when household supplies are running low. Light household organization. Simple meal-prep assistance as requested, such as washing or chopping vegetables. General Expectations The position is intended to provide ongoing household maintenance rather than occasional deep cleaning . The priority is to keep the home consistently organized and running smoothly throughout the week by completing daily resets, laundry, routine cleaning, and household errands according to the schedule above. When the day's assigned responsibilities are completed, available time should be used to address other areas that need tidying, organization, laundry, or light cleaning.
