Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Tank Inspector to perform regulatory and integrity inspections of aboveground and underground storage tanks within our Environmental Services operations. Working in the Inspection, Certification & Quality Control department, you will conduct visual and NDT inspections, assess corrosion, verify secondary containment, and document findings to support environmental compliance. The role includes preparing inspection reports, recommending corrective actions, and collaborating with operations teams. You will uphold our safety-first culture, ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, and contribute to sustainable, compliant tank operations. Responsibilities Perform scheduled inspections of aboveground and underground storage tanks for structural integrity and compliance. Conduct visual and basic NDT examinations to identify corrosion, leaks, and mechanical defects. Verify regulatory compliance with EPA, state, and local environmental and safety standards. Prepare detailed inspection reports, photos, and documentation within company systems. Recommend repair, maintenance, and remediation actions based on inspection findings. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to plan inspection access and downtime. Ensure strict adherence to Clean Harbors' safety policies, including HAZWOPER and confined space procedures. Maintain inspection equipment, tools, and calibration records. Participate in audit support and client presentations as needed. Travel to customer and company sites as required within the region.
