  • Benefits available to Part time Associates Job Summary/Responsibilities The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the success of all functions in the Housekeeping area including supervising the cleanliness of guest rooms and all hotel areas including lobbies, public areas, bathrooms, guest floors and bar/restaurant.
Some of the key duties and responsibilities include: Keep all costs in Housekeeping Department at or below our budgeted guidelines (wages, operational supplies, etc) Ensure Cleanliness of the property meets the quality of standards, policies and procedures set forth for the property are communicated and understood on a daily basis Check guest rooms and visitation daily to ensure that both Guest Room Attendants (GRA) and Supervisors are consistent in meeting departmental goals and objectives Ensure that all calls received by housekeeping are being handled in a expedient manner along with the proper follow-up to ensure that guests service levels are achieved. Train and supervise all new housekeepers and provide ongoing training to team Monitor housekeepers performance. Provide organization, instruction, guidance, and communication as well as exercise good judgment, while reinforcing high standards. Conduct spot checks on housekeepers Conduct final inspection on all deep cleans Help monitor/control linen inventory Organize a plan to mitigate linen loss Immediately report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management for immediate attention Create maintenance work orders in our property management system Regular inventory and inspection of unit assets Purchasing replacement items for units and stock replenishment, ensuring adequate stock on hand for high use consumables and high turnover items Always maintain proper etiquette in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner with guests and employees of all levels. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Must adhere to all hotel loss prevention guidelines Perform other duties as requested by leadership. Bachelor's degree, preferred. Experience 3-5 years of hotel management experience, preferably in Rooms Division. Experience in Opera Cloud, preferred Experience in HOTSOS, preferred Experience in luxury hotels or a related field preferred Knowledge/Skills Must be able to communicate fluently in English for both written and verbal communications Proficiency with computer systems Ability to work a flexible schedule is required Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to communicate information and hotel services to management and guests. Ability to inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back of house, and review reports. Ability to communicate with guests, on a telephone, and on a two-way radio with associates. Ability to interpret reports. Requires management skills.
