Overview Room Inspector | DoubleTree by Hilton Laredo Laredo, TX | Full-Time | In Person About the Role At DoubleTree by Hilton Laredo, the Room Inspector plays a key role in ensuring every guest room meets the hotel's standards for cleanliness, comfort, presentation, and guest readiness. This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering a consistent and welcoming guest experience. What You'll Do Inspect Guest Rooms Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms after housekeeping service. Ensure rooms meet cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards. Verify proper placement of amenities, linens, and guest supplies. Check room fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment for proper condition and functionality. Maintain Property Standards Identify maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns and report them promptly. Document room deficiencies and follow up to ensure issues are resolved. Help maintain the hotel's appearance, cleanliness, and overall guest-ready standards. Support the Housekeeping Team Provide feedback and coaching to Room Attendants to improve quality and consistency. Communicate priority rooms, VIP rooms, early arrivals, and special requests. Assist with training new housekeeping team members on cleanliness and inspection standards. Coordinate Room Status Accurately update room status in the property management system. Prioritize inspections based on occupancy, arrivals, VIPs, and operational needs. Maintain clear communication with Front O ice, Housekeeping leadership, and Engineering. Deliver a Great Guest Experience Ensure every inspected room is clean, comfortable, safe, and guest-ready. Respond quickly to last-minute room requests and required touch-ups. Support the hotel's commitment to exceptional guest service. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; housekeeping or hotel experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and presentation. Previous experience as a Room Inspector, Housekeeping Supervisor, or Room Attendant is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to communicate professionally and coach team members. Comfortable using a property management system. Ability to walk extensively, climb stairs, bend, lift, and inspect rooms throughout a shift. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
