Kitchen & Lodge Couple - Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming A unique opportunity for an experienced, hardworking couple Wyoming High Country Lodge is seeking a dependable, energetic Kitchen & Lodge Team (Couple) to join our team at our remote mountain lodge in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. Our lodge is located at approximately 9,000 feet above sea level , in a high alpine setting surrounded by wildflowers, trout streams, wildlife, hiking trails, and waterfalls. The nearest town, Lovell, is approximately a 45-minute drive away. We are a relatively small operation, hosting approximately 20-30 guests at a time . Our guests primarily visit the area for off-road riding, hiking, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, snow-kiting, and other outdoor activities. This is a hands-on, full-time position for a couple who is comfortable working together, living in a remote location, and taking responsibility for a wide range of lodge operations. The Position Both members of the couple will share responsibilities throughout the lodge. The work is varied and requires people who are organized, flexible, physically capable, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. A significant part of the job involves preparing guest rooms and cabins between stays, including laundry, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property. The position also includes front desk, guest service, and administrative responsibilities , such as taking reservations, answering phones and emails, checking guests in and out, and providing information to guests. We are looking for a couple who is comfortable working as a team and understands that, in a remote lodge environment, everyone contributes to the overall operation. Kitchen Experience Required At least one member of the couple must have professional cooking experience , or substantial experience with menu planning, food ordering, budgeting, and preparing quality upscale-casual meals.

The kitchen responsibilities include:

Preparing breakfast and dinner for guests Preparing sandwiches for guest lunches Menu planning and food preparation Ordering ingredients through Sysco Managing food inventory and storage Working within food budgets Accommodating dietary restrictions Washing dishes and maintaining a clean kitchen Keeping refrigerators, freezers, and food storage areas organized At least one member of the couple must be SERV Safe certified . Lodge & Guest Services Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cleaning guest rooms and cabins between stays Deep cleaning bathrooms and common areas Making beds and preparing rooms for arriving guests Doing laundry and organizing linens and towels Vacuuming and mopping floors Maintaining clean and orderly common areas Cleaning and maintaining the communal bathhouse Restocking guest necessities Checking guests in and out Taking reservations Answering phones and emails Providing information and assistance to guests Rotating front-desk coverage throughout the day Assisting with general lodge operations as needed Schedule & Working Environment This is not a traditional 9-to-5 position . Our busiest periods can require long and physically demanding days, particularly during peak season (45-50hrs per week). Time off is generally taken during the week when business allows. The position requires being on your feet and active for much of the day, so applicants should be in good physical condition and comfortable with the demands of housekeeping, kitchen work, and general lodge operations. Because this is a remote property, the couple will live and work together onsite . This position is best suited for an established couple who already knows how to communicate well, share responsibilities, and work effectively as a team. This is not a position we recommend for a couple who has only recently begun living or working together. Transportation Due to our remote location, the couple must have a reliable personal vehicle for transportation , ideally a 4-wheel-drive vehicle suitable for mountain conditions. A company vehicle will be available for lodge-related errands.
