Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions between lessons and maintain consistent classroom routines. Assist with special education programs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and supporting inclusive classroom practices. Communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents when necessary to promote understanding and cooperation. Qualifications Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or K-12 settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of curriculum development, curriculum implementation, and lesson planning techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to organize activities and maintain discipline effectively. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and instructional adaptability to meet diverse student needs. Excellent communication skills to engage students actively and collaborate with colleagues. Background in literacy education, creative writing, Montessori methods or other specialized teaching approaches is a plus. Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and childcare best practices.
