Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal across multiple facility zones. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly. Use custodial tools and cleaning supplies efficiently to ensure optimal cleanliness while following safety protocol adherence. Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall facilities upkeep. Support heavy lifting activities using safe lifting practices when moving furniture or equipment to prevent injury. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial environments. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Ability to handle chemical agents safely with an understanding of chemical handling safety procedures. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
