Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to adhering to safety protocols while delivering exceptional cleanliness standards that support a positive experience for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely in accordance with established safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain proper storage and handling of custodial supplies and chemical agents to prevent accidents or contamination. Follow all safety protocols during cleaning operations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution. Provide excellent customer service by addressing cleaning requests promptly and courteously. Ensure all sanitation standards are met or exceeded to promote a healthy environment for employees and visitors. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques for various surfaces and environments is highly desirable. Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures is essential. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, polishing, and maintenance of floor buffers is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in cleaning routines. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:

$12.00 - $13.00 per hour
