A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in having a direct impact on providing a safe and clean environment for staff and visitors of the Town facilities. $16.80/hour
•$17.75/hour Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.

Hours of Operation:
Monday
•Friday 3:30 pm
•12:00 am Required On-Call Rotation Custodians must be available to work any and all shifts assigned Examples of Duties Clean and disinfect Town facilities (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping/washing surfaces, equipment, fixtures): vacuums, sweeps and/or mops, cleans breakroom and restroom floors daily to include public lobby areas, entrances, and public walkways. Utilizing proper cleaning methods, materials, and equipment in performing custodial duties to maintain the neatness and cleanliness of Town buildings and equipment. Stock and maintain janitorial equipment supplies throughout Town facilities. Complete work request task tickets and notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs. Trash disposal, empties, and cleans trash containers in collection areas daily, to include transporting bagged waste to outside trash receptacles. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Over six months experience working in a professional cleaning environment or related field. Valid Arizona Driver License. Must pass a pre-employment physical and a 25-pound lift test. Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.
