A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sweep and mop all tile floors. Strip, wax, and buff as needed.
- Clean and maintain all floor mats
- Replace light bulbs as needed
- Vacuum carpet area's
- Clean and Stock restrooms.
- Empty trash cans and sanitize
- Maintain janitorial equipment and supply inventories in a neat manor.
- Remove debris and litter from parking lot and landscaping areas.
- Shampoo carpets as needed
- Other duties may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of standard janitorial supplies and equipment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds on a regular basis.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- 2-year work experience in the related field is preferred
