JOB SUMMARY

We are a Janitorial company located in Anaheim searching for a responsible Day Porter with some janitorial experience, to oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of site location in Anaheim, Ca. The Porter will perform dusting and cleaning of furniture, telephones, picture frames and walls. The Porter is also responsible for the complete cleanliness of assigned areas such as the exterior of the building, restrooms, and lunchroom, while following safety guidelines. The Porter performs all vacuuming activities including all carpeted areas and hard to reach places, and disinfects all high touch areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Day Porter responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building. Dust all furniture and high places (vents) Responsible for removal of trash throughout offices and transporting to dumpster or compactor using a trash barrel. Vacuum carpets and upholstered chairs. Spot clean carpets and walls. Dust, mop, sweep and/or vacuum designated areas. Scrub and clean restrooms toilets, urinals, sinks, spot clean mirrors, and the floors. Maintains restroom clean, sanitized, and supplies stocked throughout the day. Cleans and disinfects other areas as assigned. Maintain inventory and keep supplies restock. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Able to follow directions and instructions. Able to communicate effectively with their direct supervisor and staff while remaining professional and courteous. Knowledgeable in cleaning products and equipment. Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment according to safety guidelines. One year minimum in janitorial experience. Must be able to wear PPE. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to move about the building; utilize standard cleaning equipment. Normal physical activity can be strenuous and may involve prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, and crouching. The employee must occasionally push, pull, and/or lift objects up to 40 pounds. Work requires spatial perception and finger and manual dexterity. This job is exposed, on a daily basis, to temperatures and the handling of chemicals and cleaning agents on a daily basis. Work takes place both inside and outside the facility in both environments protected and non-protected from weather.
