This vital role involves performing thorough cleaning tasks, handling cleaning chemicals safely, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely according to established safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without risk. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and proper care techniques to ensure a pristine appearance. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability. Follow strict safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to facilities management for quick resolution. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools. Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols adherence. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently during night shifts.
