Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. As a Janitor, you will play a vital role in ensuring all areas of our facility are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to the overall health and safety of our workplace, creating a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors across all areas of the facility. Conduct window cleaning to ensure clear visibility and maintain aesthetic appeal. Handle chemical cleaning agents safely in accordance with safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners to ensure thorough sanitation. Manage laundry services for linens or uniforms as needed, maintaining proper hygiene standards. Maintain sanitation standards through proper waste disposal, restroom cleaning, and infection control procedures. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment to ensure safety during manual handling activities. Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or institutional settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including chemical handling, sanitation practices, and infection control measures. Ability to operate various cleaning tools and equipment safely and effectively. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
