A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Summary Job Summary Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, to perform those custodial services required to maintain assigned facilities or areas in a clean, orderly, and secure manner; and other duties directly related to this class description. Incumbents perform a variety of custodial tasks at assigned work location. Requirements /Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
- No experience is required; however, any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities of custodial job duties is desirable.
