A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Responsible for the direct oversight of frontline employees, in close cooperation with managers as well as cleaning up designated facilities according to company assignments.
Pay :
$22.00 per hour The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Staff & Mgmt Hour:
Monday to Friday Full Time one year of supervisory experience one year of janitorial experience training in the cleaning industry or building management field is preferred ability to effectively communicate with team members verbally and in writing ability to establish priorities, work independently, and accomplish objectives ability to handle and resolve problems may be required to work overnight shifts and weekends Physical demands the physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The supervisor may be required to stand and walk for 90% or more of the work shift supervisor must be able to communicate effectively. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and handbooks. Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from managers and clients require to talk, hear and use hands to handle or feel for 2/3 or more of the work shift individual may be required to lift 25 lbs or more for up to 1/3 of the work shift work environment has a moderate to heavy noise level ability to maintain awareness of physical proximity to potential hazards and avoid such hazards as they may arise this job description is subject to change at any time at the discretion of management. Must work schedule as assigned the supervisor is responsible for an assigned area or a building responsible for the direct oversight of frontline employees responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met and the frontline employees are complying with all safety, quality, and compliance standards established by the company and by our clients responsible for directing and cleaning designated areas within appropriate timeframes demonstrate exceptional customer service skills manage employee lunches and breaks maintain communication with managers to maintain optimum staffing levels, meet client expectations, and coordinate facility operations in close coordination with managers, effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees set positive, professional example for workforce conduct safety and quality audits assign tasks to frontline team members based on job requirements or special assignments inspect all completed work for conformance to ABM and customer standards train new workers and oversee ongoing training of existing employees
