Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with adherence to safe lifting practices to avoid injury. Maintain sanitation standards through routine cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, and managing waste disposal effectively. Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting, and general upkeep to ensure a well-maintained environment. Assist with industrial cleaning projects or commercial cleaning tasks requiring specialized equipment or techniques. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all custodial operations and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and safety procedures. Skills Proven janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial and industrial cleaning processes. Skilled in operating cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents to ensure a safe work environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following established safety practices. Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with staff or visitors. Experience in custodial duties such as sanitation, floor care, and general facilities maintenance. Familiarity with residential painting or minor repair work is a plus but not required. Strong adherence to safety protocols combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions for chemical handling and equipment use.
